Playful Watercolors: A Wavy Pattern of Textures

In this class, you will test out different watercolor textures, document these explorations. Then, we will combine them to paint a lovely watercolor wavy pattern filled with these textures.

I invite you to follow along the different lessons and make your own experiments because the results will vary with your own supplies. You will gather knowledge and surprises along the way!

This class is offered on a pay what you can idea. A fair price for a 1h long class would be 25 $CAN.

Watercolor textures

The textures we will explore are:

• Salt
• Rubbing alcohol
• Water
• Color
• Couscous or rice

I encourage you to try these and others as you follow along. I’be be very curious actually to discover new textures that you might already enjoy!

The Class Project

In your final project, you will create your own lovely watercolor wavy pattern art, with your own color palette, lines and textures.

You will also have the option to use the template I have provided in the resources section if you would like to trace the lines for your first piece.
